Overview
12 battery-powered LED totem units, positioned at key decision points across the Citi Field exterior. Each carries two facade displays with location-specific graphics covering ingress and egress, rideshare, subway, LIRR, ferry, shuttle, and parking. A pilot-first approach validated placement, content, and maintenance workflows before full deployment.
Approach:
Designing for Game Day
No two events move the same way. A baseball crowd and a concert crowd arrive differently, depart differently, and stress different parts of the perimeter. Noble worked with the Mets transportation team to map the full range of fan personas — subway riders, rideshare users, drivers, bus and ferry passengers — and built content around where each audience actually is and what they need at that moment. Freestanding and battery-powered, the units can be repositioned as the site evolves.
Built to Evolve
Metropolitan Park is a multi-year transformation. The NYCFC stadium next door is already under construction. Traffic patterns, fan journeys, and the perimeter itself will keep changing. The hardware was designed for it — the existing frame is ready for e-ink displays, remote CMS, QR-based analytics, and solar power when the program calls for them. Noble continues to support the Mets as the wayfinding program develops.
